But even at a worst case this is still better than the Garmin Fenix 5X, and you get music playback. Garmin Pay. Only works with a few banks; Could be genuinely useful; Garmin Pay has arrived on
This is Garmin’s first watch to have ECG, following both clinical trials, and subsequent FDA approval, which they were granted last week (more on all that down below). The on-watch ECG functionality will detect and classify atrial fibrillation (aka AFib), as well as a normal sinus rhythm. On your Venu 2 Plus you can open the ECG app at any

The Fenix 5X is not a music watch. We did not introduce the ability to internally install music to the Fenix line until the Fenix 5 Plus series. The new Fenix 6 series in the Pro version also allows music…. The 5X doesn't have music support. It can only control music being played from your mobile, that is what those controls are.
Especially since they introduced a whole new element with this solar and other new tech. I think at that price point is not worth the jump. I would be worth only from fenix 3 to fenix 6x. I personally have a fenix 5 and I will wait for the next generation or even the one after that.
The Garmin Fenix 6 Pro stands out as being one of the most elite and well-featured GPS watch options on the market. It comes in a heavier and bulkier design that's built like a tank. Garmin Fenix – the demise. In my opinion, Epix will become the dominant model in Garmin’s watch range. It will expand into different size versions and might get Solar. Fenix will have sales cannibalised by Epix but will continue to exist as a Solar-only model, Fenix will nevertheless remain a significant revenue-earner.
I assigned a value to each individual "upgrade" from the 6X to 7X. Some examples: I would pay $75 to upgrade my 6X to a touch screen, $50 to make the maps more responsive, $50 to add a flashlight, $50 to increase the battery, $50 to add GNSS/dual freq., and $25 to upgrade the HR/SpO2 sensor. Sum that all up, add the resale value for my 6X
