Gave Bayek the blade, laid much of the seeds for the Creed to be realized. Had Bayek following her command and worshipping her every 3 steps he took. Personaly broke it off with Bayek to further advance the Hidden One motifs, and I like the revelation of her being Amunet, the one who kills Cleopatra with the snake.
Well, Aya is remembered for killing Cleopatra. Bayek hasn’t killed anyone notable. I would say because while he is important to the establishment of the Assassin's, I think Aya Amunet is the founder. Bayek was just sort of there. I am still curious about how the Hidden Blade was created, and why Cleopatra had some.
It stopped with Altair when he started making changes as mentor of the Levantine brotherhood and traveled to spread his ideas. He modified the design of the hidden blade himself, presumably by utilizing the knowledge he got from the Apple, thus eliminating the need to preemptively remove the finger that risks getting lost with the old model.
Bayek's is similar, but with the string connecting to a prosthetic cover over where his ring finger used to be. For most of the Assassins from Ezio onward, it's instead a mechanism where flexing the forearm activates a pressure trigger, activating the mechanism, or some combination of the two. Starting with Darius, hidden blades were meant to be one blade worn on the left arm. Bayek and Aya continued this tradition, each only having one. Eivor seems like she'll only have one and that's probably true for the assassin we see in the trailers as well.
